Legendary cricketer Sachin Tendulkar and singer Kavita Seth have donated R100,000 each to the Rotary Club of Mumbai's The Anshul.Seksaria Paediatric Orthopaedic Surgery Project.
The project is aimed at helping 100 surgeries for children whose parents are unable to afford medical treatment.
"It is a great pleasure for me to be associated with such a noble cause. If these Rs 100,000 can save someone's life, then I think it is the best use of money. Also besides me Sachin Tendulkar is also supporting the cause and I hope lots of people come ahead and support it," Kavita said in a statement.
