Second death in Dutch stadium accident

A second construction worker died of his injuries yesterday, a day after after the accident at the FC Twente football stadium in the eastern Netherlands, a city spokesman said.

"It has just been confirmed that the building disaster at the Grolsch Veste has claimed a second life," Hans Lammerdink told AFP.

A 24-year-old man died last afternoon of his wounds at an Enschede hospital, Lammerdink said. "The victim had been in a critical condition since the accident happened," he added.
