A spectator was reportedly escorted out of Centurion's SuperSport Park after Indian fast bowler S. Sreesanth complained to the umpires about verbal abuse on the second day of the ongoing first Test against South Africa.

Sreesanth was continually heckled and sarcastically applauded by a section of the crowd on Friday, as he endured a miserable day, conceding 71 runs from 19 wicket less overs.

"The player complained to the umpires about being verbally abused," Sport24 quoted Arrie de Beer of the International Cricket Council's Anti-Corruption and Security Unit, as saying.u00a0

"Myself, fourth umpire Brian Jerling and security personnel were asked to go over to the spectator concerned and he was removed from the ground by security," he added.

Beer further said that it was unclear at the moment to confirm if the abuse was racial or not.
