was absent from the IPL for 10 days due to an elbow injury. Reports suggest Robin Uthappa missed out because Dinesh Karthik was picked as a cover for Dhoni.




Ashish Nehra has been suffering from a rib cage injury sustained during training. He is yet to feature in the current edition of IPL but is expected to be back by next week.



Gautam Gambhir strained his hamstring while playing against Mumbai Indians and has missed two matches since. The injury is said to be quite serious.



Yuvraj Singh, the Kings XI Punjab skipper injured his left wrist during the Bangladesh series. He has not come into his own since then and has been inconsistent at the IPL.
