Hard-hiotting batsmen Suryakumar Yadav, Akhil Herwadkar and Siddhesh Lad have been dropped from the Mumbai team scheduled to play the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy T20 league from January 29 in Vadodara. Ajinkya Rahane has made himself available for the first two matches.
Mumbai chief selector Milind Rege said that the committee was not satisfied with the performances of the trio.
“In the last two seasons they haven’t done as well as they should have. We expected a better show from them,” Rege told mid-day yesterday.
