Ravi Shastri still has the Audi car he won as Champion of Champions in the 1985 World Championship of Cricket. "At the moment, it is in the Audi factory where the body is being done up."

Shastri owns a Q7 model too. His friend Alex Fernandes has reason to feel privileged too. For, only he is allowed to drive Shastri's 1985 prize when the former India captain is not in town. Interestingly, the car that Shastri was presented with on March 10, 1985 was not the same one that reached India. The car got damaged while the Indian cricketers celebrated on it (see above picture) at the MCG. "When you see people with spiked shoes trying to get to the roof of the car and the champagne flowing on the seats, you needed a new one," Shastri said with a chuckle.
