Man City ace Yaya Toure says EPL defenders are in for a bashing as champions' 'fantastic strikers' will hunt for more goals in new season
Yaya Toure believes Manchester City have the striking power that could see them become the first club to score 100 goals in a Premier League season.
In Sunday’s Community Shield win over Chelsea, Carlos Tevez signalled a return to form and fitness after last season’s trials and tribulations, scoring a fine goal that put City in front on their way to an eventual 3-2 triumph. The 28-year-old’s partnership with Sergio Aguero is already well-established at international level and could be a key component in City’s bid for glory on domestic and European fronts.

In addition, manager Roberto Mancini has Edin Dzeko to call upon, plus Mario Balotelli, who made such a big impact at Euro 2012.
“We have some fantastic strikers. They are so sharp and clever. We put Carlos and Aguero there against Chelsea but it could have been Dzeko or Mario. The most important thing is that no matter what team the boss picks, it plays well,” the midfielder said.
City scored 93 times on their way to a first title in 44 years last term, and that was without Tevez for half a season after he went AWOL following his well-publicised spat with Mancini in Munich.

For some, the stain on his character from last year’s sorry events can never be removed. Thankfully for Tevez, his teammates do not share that view.
