Asia Cup 2025: Team India register comfortable victory by six wickets against Pakistan

In the Asia Cup 2025 'Super Four' match against Pakistan, Team India yet again registered a dominating victory by six wickets at the Dubai International Stadium.

While chasing a target of 172 runs, Abhishek Sharma delivered a fiery knock of 74 runs off just 39 deliveries, including six boundaries and five maximums. Fellow opening batsman, Shubman Gill, missed his well-deserved half-century by just three runs. Facing 28 balls, the right-hander scored 47 runs, which was laced with eight boundaries.


India's captain Suryakumar Yadav departed on a three-ball duck. Sanju Samson managed to score 13 runs in 17 balls, with the help of a boundary.



Tilak Varma and Hardik Pandya stayed unbeaten on the scores of 30 and seven runs, respectively. Facing just 19 balls, Tilak played an unbeaten knock of 30 runs, including two boundaries and the same number of maximums. On the other hand, Hardik accumulated an unbeaten seven runs in seven balls, with the help of a boundary.

Pakistan's Haris Rauf claimed two wickets by conceding 26 runs in four overs. Abrar Ahmed and Faheem Ashraf bagged one wicket each. Bowling four overs each, Abrar was smashed for 42 runs, and Faheem conceded 31 runs. Saim Ayub and Shaheen Shah Afridi went wicketless in the Asia Cup 2025 match against Team India.

Shaheen conceded 40 runs in his spell of 3.5 overs, whereas Saim was smashed for 35 runs in three overs.

Batting first in the Asia Cup 2025 'Super Four' match against arch rivals, Team India, Pakistan posted a total of 171 runs for the loss of five wickets in 20 overs.

Opening the innings, Fakhar Zaman departed after scoring 15 runs in nine balls, including three boundaries. Fellow opening batsman, Sahibzada Farhan, delivered a stunning knock of 58 runs off 45 deliveries. His knock was laced with five boundaries and three maximums.

Saim Ayub also accumulated 21 runs in 17 balls, with the help of a boundary and a maximum. Hussain Talat returned to the pavilion on the score of 10 runs in 11 balls. Mohammad Nawaz also registered a score of 21 runs, which came in 19 balls, including a boundary and a maximum.

Later, skipper Salman Ali Agha and Faheem Ashraf stayed unbeaten on the scores of 17 and 20 runs, respectively. Salman smashed a maximum after facing 13 balls, whereas Faheem smashed a boundary and two maximums in just eight balls.

Shivam Dube was the most successful bowler for Team India. Completing his quota of four overs, he claimed two wickets by conceding 33 runs. Hardik Pandya and Kuldeep Yadav registered one wicket each to their names. Bowling three overs, Hardik was smashed for 29 runs, and Kuldeep conceded 31 runs in four overs.

Team India's lead pacer Jasprit Bumrah, Varun Chakaravarthy, and Axar Patel went wicketless in the Asia Cup 2025 match against the "Green Shirts". Bowling four overs, Bumrah leaked 45 runs, followed by Chakavarthy's spell of four overs, which saw him get smashed for 25 runs. Axar bowled just one over and was smashed for eight runs.
