On day 1 of the second Test match against Team India, South Africa has reached the score of 82 runs for the loss of one wicket at tea at the Assam Cricket Association Stadium in Guwahati.
Team India's lead pacer Jasprit Bumrah claimed the first wicket as he bowled out Aiden Markram for 38 runs. His innings in 81 balls, which was laced with five boundaries.

Bumrah hit Markram's pads with some sharp off-cutters, making him uncomfortable. Then he got one to straight, which the Proteas vice-captain jabbed at and, to his relief, found Rahul spill a regulation chance. It was the seventh over of the innings.
Just when it seemed that Proteas' opening pair was firmly in control, Bumrah bowled a full delivery and Markram, going for an expansive drive, was castled all ends up.
Towards the end of the first session of the second Test match, a couple of deliveries from Kuldeep Yadav and Washington Sundar did turn and jump, but the better batting surface on offer did make the job of the openers way easier.
Bumrah kept posing the challenge by trying to get the outside edge of both Rickelton and Markram's bats. From the other end, Mohammed Siraj kept troubling the South African duo with the angular deliveries.
Team India skipper Rishabh Pant introduced Nitish Kumar Reddy at the stroke of drinks break. The field changes made by Pant, which saw three slips along with deep point and deep square leg, made the task easy for South Africa's opening batsmen.
Once the moisture dried up, Markram did play some flowing drives, and the punch through covers off Reddy was among the best boundaries during the first session.
In the case of Rickleton, he punished the deliveries from Siraj and Reddy which strayed down the leg side. Tristan Stubbs has entered the ground to shoulder Rickelton.
