Speculation around Rohit’s future has intensified in recent weeks, with multiple reports suggesting that both he and Virat Kohli could soon bid farewell to the 50-over format, thereby stepping aside before the 2027 ODI World Cup. Both stalwarts leave behind a glittering legacy in One-Day Internationals

Mumbai’s relentless monsoon may have kept many indoors, but India ODI captain Rohit Sharma was in no mood to stay confined. The 37-year-old was spotted taking his sleek Range Rover out for a spin through rain-drenched streets, a video of which quickly went viral on social media.

But the Range Rover is just one gem in Rohit’s enviable fleet. Just days ago, the stylish right-hander added a fiery red Lamborghini Urus SE to his growing luxury car collection. And true to form, Rohit wasted no time flaunting his latest acquisition. Fans gathered in excitement as the Indian skipper navigated the streets of Mumbai behind the wheel of the high-performance SUV.
What caught everyone’s eye, besides the supercar itself, was the personalised number plate: 3015. The digits hold sentimental value, combining the birthdays of his two children: daughter Samaira (born December 30) and son Ahaan (born November 15). Together, the numbers total 45, Rohit's iconic jersey number for India. His previous ride featured 264, which was a nod to his record-breaking ODI score against Sri Lanka in 2014, the highest in men’s ODI history.
While Rohit continues to make headlines off the field, his future is approaching a decisive juncture. Having last represented Mumbai Indians in the IPL 2025, the veteran batter is expected to return for what could potentially be his final international series. With the Bangladesh ODIs in August officially cancelled, India’s next assignment will be a three-match ODI series in Australia, scheduled from October 19 to 25.
