In the ODI Women's World Cup 2025 against New Zealand, Australia was bowled out for 326 runs in 49.3 overs at the Holkar Stadium in Madhya Pradesh.



Opening the innings for Australia, skipper Alyssa Healy departed after scoring 19 runs off 17 balls, including three boundaries. Fellow opening batswoman, Phoebe Litchfield, scored 45 runs in 31 balls, with the help of six boundaries and two maximums.

Coming to bat at number three, Ellysa Perry scored 33 runs after facing 41 balls. Her knock was laced with five boundaries. Beth Mooney and Annabel Sutherland returned to the pavilion on the scores of 12 and five runs, respectively. Facing 21 balls, Mooney smashed a boundary, whereas Sutherland also smashed one boundary in her knock, which lasted for just eight balls.

Later, Tahlia McGrath scored 26 runs in 34 balls, with the help of three boundaries. Sophie Molineux also faced 19 balls and accumulated 14 runs, including a boundary and a maximum.

Kim Garth gave the finishing touches, as she scored 38 runs in 37 balls. She also smashed five boundaries during her knock.

Alan King managed to score four runs in seven balls, and Darcie Brown stayed unbeaten on one run after facing just one ball.

The "White Ferns" will now have to chase a target of 372 runs against Australia in 50 overs.

Jess Kerr and Lea Tahuhu were the most successful bowlers for New Zealand. Bowling eight overs, Tahuhu bagged three wickets by conceding 42 runs, whereas Jess also claimed three wickets by conceding 59 runs in 8.3 overs.

On the other hand, Breearne Illing and Amelia Kerr registered two wickets each to their names. Illing in her spell of nine overs, was smashed for 75 runs. Completing her quota of 10 overs, Amelia conceded 54 runs. Additionally, the 24-year-old achieved the milestone of completing 100 ODI wickets.

Sophie Devine and Eden Carson went wicketless in the ODI Women's World Cup 2025 match against Australia. Bowling eight overs, she leaked 55 runs, and Carson was smashed for 39 runs in a six-over spell.
