As the International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced the venues and full schedule of the upcoming T20 World Cup 2026, here is the list of matches that will be hosted at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.
The historic Wankhede Stadium will host Team India's tournament-opening match against the USA on February 7. On the very next day (February 8), the Mumbai fans will witness the clash between England and Nepal.
The tournament will then return to Mumbai on February 11 for the clash between the "Three Lions" and the West Indies. Later, Nepal will lock horns against Italy at the same venue on February 12.
The iconic stadium will yet again witness Nepal taking over the West Indies and Bangladesh on February 15 and February 17, respectively.

The final of the marquee event is scheduled to be played either at the R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo or the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on March 8.

Group A consists of teams such as India, the USA, Namibia, the Netherlands, and Pakistan. Group B will see Australia, Sri Lanka, Zimbabwe, Ireland, and Oman contest amongst each other. England and the West Indies have been placed in Group C along with Bangladesh, Italy, and Nepal. Group D includes teams like South Africa, New Zealand, Afghanistan, Canada, and the UAE.
The top two teams from each group will qualify for the Super Eight stage of the tournament, which will begin on February 21.
The current chairman of the ICC, Jay Shah, has announced Rohit Sharma as the event ambassador for the global showpiece. In the previous edition of the T20 World Cup, the "Men in Blue" emerged victorious under the leadership of Rohit.
