Little Mix singer Perrie (23) and the England forward, also 23, have been in a relationship since last year, but both insist on keeping things under wraps.
“Perrie wants to keep her lovelife private and also doesn't want to be regarded as a stereotypical football WAG. It’s early days and they're still getting to know each other so it's unlikely her stance will change,” a source told British tabloid The Sun.
Alex, on the other hand, wants to be hailed for his football skills alone. “Alex fully supports Perrie (in hiding their relationship) as he wants to be known as a footballer and not someone who is dating a pop star,” says another source. But as long as she’s singing and he’s scoring, the couple will continue to hog the limelight anyway, no?
