Everton head coach Sam Allardyce on Friday heaped praise on his new loan signing Eliaquim Mangala and said he can provide balance to the side with his playing ability. The French defender was signed from Manchester City on loan until the end of the ongoing season.

"He is naturally left footed, who will not only be defensively better but also better in both areas. He will give us better balance," Allardyce said. "You can see the other night that our strength lay down the right hand side," he added.
