London: After their recent defeat against Manchester City, Manchester United star Paul Pogba promised on Monday that the former European champions will bounce back with some strong performances in the English Premier League (EPL).

The 23-year-old French international was criticised for his sub-standard performance in the match as Manchester United lost to cross-town rivals Manchester City 1-2 at Old Trafford on Saturday.

"The season is just starting, we don't lose, we learn. United we stand," Pogba wrote on his Instagram account.

Speaking about the derby clash, United manager Jose Mourinho admitted that his team selection had been the root cause of his side's defeat.

He also praised City, managed by his long-term rival Pep Guardiola, saying they were better than us in the first half.

"It's my fault because I'm the manager and it's always my fault because it's my choice,"' Mourinho was quoted as saying by the Independent.
