Former England footballer Rio Ferdinand has said that it was only after he lost his wife Rebecca to cancer in 2015, that he became more loving towards his three kids — Lorenz, 11, Tate, nine, and Tia, six. In the section of his upcoming autobiography, which he shared with British tabloid, The Sun, he wrote: "The heartbreaking truth is that losing Rebecca has made me more loving. I can't turn back the clock and show her more love, but I can try not to repeat the same mistakes with our children. Being able to cry makes me feel more alive, and for that I am profoundly grateful."
