The visiting team had its first practice session in here today. Though the session was held under the lights, the turf was uneven with rough patches of grass all over, with even potholes. And the ball hardly bounced.

"The atmosphere is so positive in the camp. That's the speciality of national camps the world over," Constantine stated. "We have two crucial back to back matches and all in the camp needs to understand its significance. We need to settle down fast."

The weather here cannot be more pleasant. It's bright sunny all day over and the temperature at this time of the year never seems to pass 28 degrees. Defender Arnab Mondal highlighted the urgency within the camp.

"It's about doing it on the field. We are getting ready for the challenges ahead. We would be taking one step at a time and are at the moment focussing on the match against Turkmenistan," he said.

"We understand Turkmenistan have got some good results at home. We need to execute the coach's instructions to perfection. That's our job." Sourav Ganguly to be elected CAB president on Oct 15 Kolkata, Oct 6 (PTI) Cricket Association of Bengal president designate Sourav Ganguly will formally be elected as its chief at their special general meeting on October 15.

The former India captain yesterday did the formality of tendering his resignation from CAB joint secretary which will be taken over by Avishek Dalmiya at the upcoming SGM. The CAB today sent notification to all the 121 affiliated units for the SGM which had to be called after the demise of Jagmohan Dalmiya who passed away after a massive cardiac arrest on September 20.

The former India captain, who is in his second term as CAB joint secretary, had emerged as the consensus candidate to take over the mantle while Dalmiya's son Avishek was designated to take over Ganguly's position in the two announcements made by West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee.
