Former England and Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand is all set to propose to girlfriend Kate Wright, believe friends. According to British tabloid, The Daily Star, Ferdinand, 38, who is on the verge of taking up a career in boxing, has another ring on his mind.
"Rio is all about the ring right now. His ambition is to win a belt in boxing. But we reckon he's after another ring long-term -- an engagement ring for Kate. She's given up everything for him -- now it's time for him to commit to her," said a friend.
It is learnt that model and actor Kate, 26, has decided to walk away from the glamour world for now, so that she can help raise Rio's three children Lorenz, 11 and Tate, nine, and daughter Tia, six.
"I'm taking a step back from the public eye, I want to keep my life private... my priority right now is Rio and the family," she had said recently.
