Ronaldo won the Ballon D’Or ahead of Lionel Messi and Manuel Neuer on Monday but had little time to celebrate, as his Real Madrid drew 2-2 with Atletico Madrid and made an exit from the Copa del Rey. Ronaldo wants to get back in the winning groove now as his side take on Getafe on Sunday.
“I apologise on behalf of the team. We could’ve done better. But we have La Liga, Champions League and lots of other things to win this year. We’ll play at a higher level later in the season. We aim to win La Liga and the Champions League.”
