Argentine superstar Lionel Messi brought out the bling last weekend when he attended his team Inter Miami’s fixture against Cincinnati FC wearing an ultra-rare Rolex Daytona watch.
Messi, who was serving a one-match ban for skipping the MLS All-Star game, still managed to steal the headlines with the pink ‘Barbie’ watch. According to British tabloid, The Sun, the timepiece is worth $923,227 (R8 crore approx). The watch is built using a pink sapphire diamond and is made of pure 18 carat gold. The Argentine is known to be an avid watch collector, with his timepiece collection (see box) estimated to be worth over a whopping $3.7 million (Rs 324 crore) .
