Thanks to the consistent batting by opener Shashank Singh, Shivaji Park Warriors, defeated Thane Marathas by eight runs in a thrilling tie in the Mitsui Shoji T20 League yesterday.
Batting first, Shivaji Park Warriors hit up 168-6 with Shashank in splendid form. He hammered an unbeaten 69 with nine fours and two sixes.

Earlier, Shashank scored a century, but his side lost. He hammered 79 in the next and followed it by a blistering knock. Chasing 169 for a win, Thane Marathas tried their best, but as wickets continued to fall at regular intervals, they fell short by eight runs.
Bandra Heroes win
In another tie, Bandra Heroes scored a six-wicket win over defending champions Ghatkopar Jets to stay unbeaten in the league.
Put into bat, Ghatkopar Jets made 151-8 off the allotted 20 overs. Chasing 152, Bandra boys clinched victory thanks to a 57-run fifth-wicket partnership between Aman Khan and Shamsi Mulani.
