The left-handed Marin, who was a quarter-finalist at the World Championships where she lost to eventual champion Ratchanok Intanon, proved too good for India’s Sindhu who herself was a bronze medallist at the event.
At one point in the first game, Marin took a 7-4 lead against the Hyderabadi girl and never quite looked back from there.
In the second game too, Marin was in the lead from the start before eventually clinching the game, and the match.
