Athletic championships: Manjeet, Shivam strike double golds

Sports Authority of India athletes Manjeet Singh and Shivam Yadav bagged two gold medals each in the Mumbai Suburban District Selection Athletic championships, held at the Sports Authority of India (SAI) sports complex at Kandivli yesterday.
Manjeet won the 400m event and then clocked 2:08.0 secs in 800m to win his second gold. Meanwhile, Shivam clinched golds in the discus throw and shot put events. Another SAI athlete to feature among the winners was Jitendra Singh, who pipped Manjeet in the 1500m with a timing of 4:39.1 secs.
