Australia's former world No. 1 Lleyton Hewitt Friday announced he would again be teaming up with veteran coach Tony Roche.

Roche has worked as a private coach to Grand Slam champions Ivan Lendl, Roger Federer and Pat Rafter -- with whom he was recently named to lead Australia's Davis Cup team. He previously coached Hewitt between 2007 and 2009.

"I have been discussing this with Rochey for a few months now prior to him accepting the job as Australian Davis Cup coach, and when he asked me about taking that role with Pat, I thought that would work in well with what we were planning for myself," two-time Grand Slam winner Hewitt said.

Hewitt, who is back in training after a hand injury forced him off the tour in September, said he would be taking more of a "team" approach to his training in 2011 by incorporating Davis Cup squad coach Josh Eagle.

"Basically, I will be working in conjunction with Tennis Australia, and have Rochey as my main coach and at other times through the year work with Josh Eagle, who is one of the Davis Cup squad coaches," Hewitt said.

Hewitt said he was "really looking forward to working with both guys and feel that if I can keep the body performing then I can climb back up the ranks again."

Roche said the tenacious 29-year-old Australian was still a feared competitor among the leading players and remained a hard worker after some 14 years on the tour.

"He is constantly working on his game to improve, which is always a good sign that his focus and desire is still there," he said.
