India's Sania Mirza and her Romanian partner Horia Tecau were defeated 3-6, 2-6 by Canada''s Daniel Nestor and France''s Kristina Mladenovic at the Rod Laver Arena in just their second tournament together

Mirza, who won the 2009 Australian Open and 2012 French Open mixed doubles titles along with fellow Indian Mahesh Bhupathi, and Tecau were defeated in the quarterfinals at Wimbledon last year, by Nestor and Mladenovic, who went on to win the crown.
