Saturday, October 30 will mark a new beginning for India football captain, Baichung Bhutia. For, the most popular Indian footballer, will venture into identifying and coaching young talent in the country by starting a football school for underprivileged and orphaned children at Noida, New Delhi.

MiD DAY learnt that the project is a joint venture with Portugal's Carlos Queiroz football academy. About this football school to be opened in the Capital, Bhutia said: "There are many children who want to play football but don't have the resources, especially kids from poor families and those residing on the streets. Such underprivileged children will get an opportunity to play here. NGO Magic Bus will organise the admission for these children. This will be the first school of its kind."

Bhutia is also planning to start a professional football academy along with Bollywood's pin-up star John Abraham. Children who show early signs of talent, will get an opportunity to join this academy.

"John and me are planning to start a football academy in Kolkata as well as in Sikkim. Promising children from the football school will get a chance to hone their skills there," he added.

MiD DAY has learnt that a leading sports gear manufacturer will be sponsoring the kits for Bhutia's football school in Noida.
