India's Mahesh Bhupathi and Elena Vesnina of Russia lost to Jurgen Melzer of Austria and Iveta Benesova of Czech Republic 3-6, 2-6 in the Wimbledon mixed doubles final here yesterday.
Melzer and Benesova have not lost a single set on their way to the title and were the dominant pair in yesterday's 51-minute summit clash at the center court. Bhupathi, who was denied his third Wimbledon mixed doubles title, has not won a Grand Slam title since clinching the 2009 Australian Open mixed doubles trophy along with compatriot Sania Mirza. All of Bhupathi's mixed doubles titles have come with different partners.
