The incident happened on November 17 last year — a month before Schumacher's horrific ski crash (Dec 29) that has left him comatose and battling for his life in a French hospital.

The biker is claiming compensation for a broken wrist he suffered besides some damage to a watch, his clothes and his motorbike as a result of the accident with Schumi.

Police, in their accident report, have said that Schumacher failed to respect the alleged victim's right of way.

A trial will take place only if the insurers contest the biker's claim. However, the seven-time Formula One champion will not be obliged to attend.
