India's champion discus thrower Krishna Poonia told MiD DAY that she and world discus champion Dani Samuels will clash in their highly anticipated challenge in March
To this, Poonia had said that Samuels' presence would have hardly made any difference to the result that saw Indians make a clean sweep of the three medals at stake. Later, Samuels' representatives laid a challenge for the Indian to take on the Aussie in a winner-takes-all $20,000 prize.
The matter dragged however and Poonia later put it off to early next year.
However, now she's ready for March. "I'll take my post-season break and then return in January-February. So, March is the ideal time. Dani is free to chose the place," announced Poonia.
