India boxer Akhil Kumar is not a very happy man these days. With the Asian Games fast approaching and Akhil not being a part of the squad due to a rotational ploy being adopted by the Indian Boxing Federation, he is quite unhappy to miss out on the China tour.

"It is sad not to be part of the Guangzhou Asian Games contingent's. It's every player's dream to represent the country and win medals. However, it was the federation;s decision to give a younger boxer a chance and so I did not have much option but to comply," Akhil told MiD DAY yesterday on the sidelines of a felicitation function here.
The Beijing Olympic Games quarter-finalist however hoped the boxers bring laurels to India at the Asiad.
"The boxers selected in the Asiad team are a very good bunch and more than capable of bringing back a lot of medalsu00a0 from China. After our great showing at the New Delhi Commonwealth Games, I'm sure our boxers will do India proud once more," said Kumar.
