The driver of the car that crashed and killed a great-grandchild of Nelson Mandela on the opening day of the World Cup has been arrested and may face homicide charges, a spokeswoman said Friday.
"We have arrested the driver and we are investigating charges of culpable homicide," police spokewosman Colonel Noxolo Kweza told AFP.
She said the car flipped over on a central Johannesburg highway after midnight as Winnie Madikizela-Mandela and 13-year-old Zenani Mandela were leaving the World Cup kick-off concert in Soweto.
