Spanish big man Pau Gasol scored 28 points with a perfect shooting performance and Kobe Bryant added 20 points to power the Los Angeles Lakers past Golden State 117-89 in an NBA rout on Sunday.
Gasol went 10-of-10 from the field and 8-of-8 from the free throw line for the reigning NBA champion Lakers, who breezed ahead 69-41 at half-time by hitting nearly two-thirds of their shots in the opening two quarters.
Lamar Odom contributed 15 points and 10 rebounds for the Lakers, who defeated the Warriors for the 11th time in a row.
The Lakers won their fourth game in a row and have an NBA-best 12 triumphs in 14 games while the Warriors fell to 7-6, still good enough to stand second to the Lakers in the Pacific division.
Golden State, losers for the fourth time in five starts, had 16 points from Dorell Wright and 13 each from Jeremy Lin and Stephen Curry but the Warriors lost Monta Ellis for most of the second half after he fell on his hip.
Lin is the first Asian-American NBA player with family heritage from Taiwan and China. His parents emigrated from Taiwan to the United States in the 1970s. His father's family is from Taiwan while his maternal family has Chinese roots.
