Indian Wells: World number two Maria Sharapova defeated Victoria Azarenka 6-4, 6-3 in the third round of the WTA and ATP Indian Wells tennis tournament on Monday.
Sharapova moves through to the round of 16 where she will square off against defending women's champ Flavia Pennetta of Italy.
