Junior wrestlers stripped of medals

The Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) yesterday withdrew the medals from six of the current junior national champions, who failed to provide samples to the National Anti-Doping Agency (NADA) for dope test. WFI had requested NADA to collect samples from the Junior National Championships held in Chandigarh from May 9-12.

However, some grapplers, including medal winners, avoided giving samples and fled the competition venue. They were — Rahul Pal (84 kg), Amit (74 kg), Sandeep (60 kg),Sunil Kumar (120 kg), Anoop (84 kg) and Manjeet (84 kg).u00a0
