Defending champion Svetlana Kuznetsova was dumped out of the French Open in the third round on Friday after losing 6-3, 2-6, 6-4 to 30th-seeded Russian compatriot Maria Kirilenko.
Kirilenko, the world number 30, will face Italian 17th seed Francesca Schiavone for a place in the quarter-finals.

Nadal, Federer up
