After two successive wins for Lewis Hamilton and Jenson Button, McLaren arrive in Monza confident they can brush aside internal tensions and continue their improved form in Sunday’s Italian GP.

Both 2008 champion Hamilton and his 2009 successor Button enjoyed dominant weekends, taking pole and then winning in style at the Hungarian and Belgian GPs. Technical director Paddy Lowe said: “Jenson’s set up in Belgium was not far off that Monza, so it’s encouraging that the package worked so well.


We were quick in Belgium and also in Hungary, so it makes us think we have can translate the pace in the next eight races.”
