Maharashtra Military School (Murbad) beat Don Bosco (Matunga) 1-0 in a keenly contested final to lift the 10th Late Major Dhyan Chand inter-school hockey title at the MHA-Mahindra Stadium, Churchgate yesterday. Striker Sandeep Parel got the all-important match-winner in the seventh minute.
Earlier in the semi-finals, Our Lady of Dolours (Marine Lines) lost 2-4 via tie-breaker to Don Bosco, while Maharashtra Military School thrashed Children’s Academy (Malad) 8-1.
