Defending champions Ghatkopar Jets proved their supremacy as they beat last year's finalists Mumbai Police City Riders by 44 runs in the final of the Mitsui Shoji T20 tournament organised by Jwala Sports Foundation and Mumbai Cricket Club at Police Gymkhana.

Inspired by former Sri Lankan pacer Chaminda Vaas in their colours, Ghatkopar Jets did well to score 194 for five in the allotted 20 overs after being asked to bat.
Jets' openers Karan Nandey (48) and Akhtar Shaikh (24) rattled up 66 off 7.5 overs. Later, Shivam Dube scored 58 while Sunil Chawary contributed 21. The Police City Riders had lost seven for 57 before the halfway stage.
Shrikant Limbole's late outburst which saw him slam eight sixes and five fours in his knock of 94 before he was the last man out, ensured they reached 150.
Jets' Nandey, who claimed three for 36, earned the man-of-the-series award. Shivaji Park Warriors' opener Shashank Singh, who scored 436 including an unbeaten 107, was adjudged the best batsman of the tournament.
Police City Riders' Amit Kadam and Jets' Ajinkya Belose bagged the best bowler and best fielder award respectively.
