Top seed Nikolay Davydenko's winning streak was brought to an end by United States of America's Sam Querrey in the quarter-finals of the Pilot Pen men's singles hardcourt tournament last night.

The Russian lost the first set-3-6 but recovered in the second to clinch it 6-3, before conceding the final set 4-6.

In the women's category, Russia's Elena Vesnina defeated compatriot Anna Chakvetadze (RUS) 6-1,
7-5.
