World No 1 and top seed Wozniacki posted a 6-3, 6-2 win over Russian Nadia Petrova in the second round on a day. "It's great to start off with a win and continue with my good form after Dubai," the Dane said.
"Nadia is a very experienced player who has won before in Qatar, so it was particularly pleasing," added Wozniacki.
