The Pierre de Coubertin Stadium may be known, at least as far as this World Championships is concerned, as the graveyard for seeds. But not for Indonesia's Taufik Hidayat.
The Indonesian showed great composure to score a straight games win over Korea's Park Sung Hwan to book his place in the final, five years after he last won the title in Anaheim.
"It has been a long five years and I am delighted to be playing in the final of the World Championships again," said Taufik after his 21-10, 20-22 win over Park on Saturday.

Taufik, who was trailing 20-18 in the second game, showed steely determination to turn the table on Park to win 22-20 and will now take on China's Chen Jin in the final on Sunday.
Peter Gade loses
Chen Jin beat Denmark's Peter Gade 19-21, 21-8, 21-11 in an earlier semi-final. "I have qualified for the final twice before and tomorrow will be my third appearance in a final," added Taufik. "And I would like to finish this final as the winner."
