Pathrose's brace takes St Francis into quarters

After held goalless in the first half, Pathrose Uruvath struck twice in the second half to take St Francis D'Assisi (Borivli) past SK Somaya Vinay Mandir 3-1 into boys under-19 quarter-finals of the Divisional Sports Office's (DSO) District Level football tournament, organised and sponsored by Vision Sports Reconnect and Fairplay Sports Management at St Francis D'Assisi ground in Borivli yesterday.

In fact, it was Chris Gomes who gave St Francis the lead before Pathrose took over to rattle the rival defence with a brace of goals later midway. For the losers the consolation goal came through Neeraj Kodalkar.
