The grade 1 race, slated as the feature event of a ten-race card on Sunday, may see the Shroff-trained trio Jacqueline, Astral Flash & Sine Qua Non taking up the first three places and win over Rs 6.2 million out of the 7 million on offer.
Jacqueline, the 'Guineas double' winner to be ridden by Richard Hughes, will be the firm favourite for the Indian Oaks.
However, her victory cannot be taken for granted because she may face very stiff opposition from stable mate Astral Flash (CD Hayes up) who may find the mile-and-a-half trip more to her liking. Whoever wins, the race is unlikely to slip from the iron grip of trainer Shroff, who will lead in a third straight Classic winner this season.
