If there's one man, who stands between India and the gold medal in today's air rifle shooting event here, it has to be China's Athens Olympics gold and Beijing Olympics s ilver medal winner Zhu Qinan.
Two years ago, Abhinav Bindra edged out Qinan to clinch India's first individual Olympic gold medal. Qinan was such an overwhelming favourite going into the Beijing event that he was inconsolable during the medal ceremony and later at the press conference, he conceded that the pressure of the billion-plus Chinese population had got the better of him.
Today, India will be hoping that the additions to the Chinese population since 2008 will once again pressurise Qinan into defeat.
