Victoria Azarenka of Belarus and Maria Kirilenko of Russia defeated the Indo-Romanian pair of Sania Mirza and Monica Niculescu in the quarter-final of the Western & Southern Financial Group Women's Open on DAY Five in Cincinnati, Ohio yesterday.

Azarenka and Kirilenko won the first 6-2 in no time. However, Mirza and Niculescu found their rhythm in the second and gave their opponents a big fight before going down 5-7.u00a0
