Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister K.Chandrasekhar Rao has announced a grant of Rs.1. crore to tennis star Sania Mirza for training and to meet other expenses to attend the US Open and other tournaments.

Rao will present the cheque to her Tuesday, said a statement from the chief minister's office here Monday.
Sania achieved career best world ranking of five in doubles early this month.
