In statements published by French newspaper Le Parisien, Pele said that Bolt is the best athlete in the history of the Olympic Games and joked that it could have been him if he was involved in sports other than football, reports Efe.

The Brazilian explained he has always wished to compete in boxing at the Olympics so that he could face the late Muhammad Ali. He added if Brazil wins the gold medal at Rio, he has no doubt that people will be out on the streets to celebrate the victory as if it is a carnival.
