Western Railway completed a grand double, winning the men's and women's titles, in the Mt Carmel Annual Invitation Floodlit Rink Hockey Tournament.
In a tense and well-contested women’s final, Western overcame F United 5-3 via the tie-breaker after the scores were tied 2-2 at the end of regulation period at the Mt Carmel Church compound, Bandra.
The men’s final also witnessed a keen battle for supremacy between Western Railway and Wenden Carters. But prolific scorer Amit Gowda hogged the limelight as he produced three superb goals to steer Western to a narrow 4-3 win.

Men: Western Railway 4 (Amit Gowda 3, Vinod Kumar) beat Wenden Carters 3 (Vijay Alphonso, Ashish Gonsalves , Karan Kapoor).
