Says she was sexually assaulted by two neighbours a few months ago, angry relatives vandalise nursing home claiming abortion without consent

Family members of a 13-year-old, four-month pregnant girl wrecked a private nursing home and manhandled its staff including senior doctors and nurses claiming that the girl's foetus was aborted without their consent. The incident has been reported from Moti Nagar area of west Delhi.

DCP of west district, Sharad Aggarwal rejected their claims and said he didn't know about the violent face-off between the family and the doctors but the abortion took place with their consent. An FIR of rape has been registered against two persons Kuldeep and Ashok who are the girl's neighbours.

"The victim, Pooja (name changed) a class VIII student has claimed that she was allegedly raped by her two 25-year-old neighbours, Ashok and Kuldeep in a moving WagonR car. The accused had threatened her not to reveal anything to anyone or they would kill her family.

The victim's relatives came to know she was pregnant when she fell down the stairs and blood started oozing from her private parts. She was taken to a nearby private hospital where doctors advised her parents to conduct an ultrasound. After the medical check-up doctors informed her family members that she was four months pregnant and advised her parents to go for an abortion. Her family members agreed and the procedure took place," the DCP said.

However, Hari Ram, Pooja's father alleged that the foetus was aborted without the family's permission. He claimed that doctors did all this under the influence of the accused persons and their family. Hari Ram is a native of UP and has been living in the Capital along with his family for the past twenty years, at Sudamapuri area in Moti Nagar. He has three sons apart from his daughter Pooja.

"Today my daughter suffered injuries after she fell down the stairs. We were shocked when we came to know that she was pregnant. Before we could inform the police, the doctor aborted her foetus. Police reached the nursing home after that. The accused are from rich families and so they have done all this to remove evidence," alleged Hari Ram.

Kuldeep, one of the accused, runs an iron factory in the area while Ashok is his tenant and also owns a factory.
"The victim was raped five to six times in the month of March. On April 30 she left Delhi for her native place in UP. For the past two months she had been living there. On July 2 the girl came back to the Capital. She did not tell anything about the rape to her family members.

On Monday when she fell down the stairs and was taken to the hospital, this fact came to light. The accused persons have been booked under the sections of kidnapping, threatening and rape," said a senior police officer. The girl is now admitted at Deen Dayal Updhyay Hospital where she is undergoing treatment. Police said they were investigating the matter.
