Party the Hugh Hefner way

4 must catch events this weekend in Delhi

Party the Hugh Hefner way
There are millions of blokes on this earth who want to be reborn as Hugh Hefner. If you too are praying for a blissful next life, partying with an endless train of playmates, here is your chance to do it in this life itself. Playboy Mansion Party promises a night of jiving to the tunes of DJ Aryaa, music producer and model who gave us Ali Haider's hit Purani Jeans. Now there might not be playmates like Kara Monaco and Tifanny Fallon aboard but keeping the theme in mind some of the party animals are sure to turn up in bunny suits. And even if there are no babes masquarading as bunny waitresses, stick to the usual cocktails and wine sipping. The spirits and foot thumping in the jam-packed house will make the night eventful anyway.

Memories from the past
1947, a satire laced with wit unfolds the partition of 1947, its causes and effects without taking as political or academic stance. Through Ghazanfar Hussein, a 90-year-old alzheimer patient, the satirical play depicts the immediate as well as long term aftermath of an event which left millions suffering on both sides. Hussein played by Saleem Shah, whom we been seeing in films like English August and Sarfarosh to soaps like the Just Mohabbat, is non-academic, non-descript, and factually inaccurate and it is this human aspect which makes him a darling on stage for the audience. Give up popcorn munching in a multiplex for once and opt for some touching thought provoking drama.

Craft beer or in layman's words beer brewed in a limited amount, catering a focused audience is on the menu at Craft Beer Brunch, teamed with a continental buffet at The Aman restaurant. You can try a number of beers and ales from countries like Belgium, France and Germany. Definitely, those are great countries to associate the world's third most popular drink with, so go with an open heart and a well-built thirst. A buffet brunch of vegetable lasagne, potato gnocchi with basil pesto sun dried tomatoes and artichokes are some of the items on the menu to wash down with the beers. Cellar master Kavita Devi Faiella will give some gyan on beer tasting with the brunch too.

Delicate sounds of thunder
When you can wake up late on Saturdays, spend your Friday nights head banging to some psychedelic rock numbers (yes, that's possible).u00a0 Drive up to Gurgaon and attend Jim Beam Rock Nights tonight.u00a0 Listen to the Rohit Kulkarni band belt out some soul stirring compositions. Guitarist and vocalist Kulkarni has been performing at most of the major joints in the capital from time to time. He sings his own compositions. But influenced by the 60s Pink Floyd philosophical wave, the man croons numbers from the covers of the English band too. But then that's the beauty of being an Indian rock lover, one can burst their lungs out with the performing band. Miss a few notes, mess up the scale, who cares! Pay reverence to rock music without any pretensions.
